Meet Alex

Holding a degree from Trent and advanced degrees from Western, Alex was a varsity swimmer for the Excaliburs and the Mustangs.

He began his full time military career in 2007 as a Naval Warfare Officer where he learned the art of driving ships. He was posted to HMCS Algonquin in which he completed several deployments. He later specialized as a Clearance Diving Officer posted to Fleet Diving Unit (Pacific) where he conducted and supervised maritime explosive ordnance disposal operations at home and abroad. He enjoyed subsequent postings to National Defence Headquarters at Ottawa and Experimental Diving and Undersea Group at Toronto. Along the way, he was also seconded to Joint Task Force X at Kingston where he was the first non-intelligence officer to complete the arduous Interrogator Course. Alex left the military honourably in 2022 and now is a front line police officer.

Alex hopes to enter politics in order to serve Peterborough. He aims to help modernize the Conservative platform in the Peterborough area and make inroads with young voters, Indigenous communities and new Canadians while staying true to the core Conservative beliefs of small government, strong families and pride in our country.

A man of faith, Alex is a regular attendee at his local church. As a lover of Canadian outdoors, Alex is an active hunter and member of various sport shooting associations.

Alex is a proud Metis Canadian (Association des Acadiens-Metis Souriquois) and of his service to Canada. He is also proud to call Peterborough his home.
